Packing 101

Sturdy boxes are a must for all your valuable items. Lightweight or over-used boxes are not strong enough and will not provide the protection you need during packing, transit and un-packing.

Don’t under-pack or over-pack your containers. The recommended maximum box weight is 50 pounds for good reason.

Label each box with a vivid permanent marker. Mark the box with the name of the room in your new residence that it should be placed for unpacking.

On boxes with breakable items, always clearly mark "Fragile" on all sides of the box. Keep these boxes together so that you can point them out to your mover for special handling.
